- Pick 2.07
- Pick notation reads round.slot — 2.07 is the seventh pick of the second round. In a 12-team snake draft, that's pick number 19 overall.
- VBD
- Value-Based Drafting — a player's projected points minus the projection of the worst starter at their position. Higher VBD means a bigger gap over what you could grab from the waiver wire.
- ADP
- Average Draft Position — where the consensus of recent drafts is taking a player. Sources can disagree by several picks, and that gap is often where the actual edge lives.
- Make-it-back %
- The chance a comparable player is still on the board the next time you pick. Low percentages mean if you pass, the tier closes; high percentages mean you can wait without losing much.
- Tier
- A grouping of players with roughly equivalent value. Picking the last player in a tier instead of the first in the next tier is usually the right call — the value drop between tiers is far steeper than within one.
- Cliff
- The point where the next-best player at a position drops a full tier in projected value. Reaching for a cliff player is often correct because the alternative is a meaningfully worse starter.
